Bridge Plugs

For zonal isolation and abandonments, set on wireline or hydraulically. Kappa HMII hydraulic setting kits fit 4½″, 5½″ and 7″ Kappa bridge plugs; other sizes set on wireline or with a setting tool on tubing.

Cement Retainers

For controlled squeeze work where returns have to be held below the tool.

Overview

Built around the abandonment program

Plug selection comes first: a retrievable plug set for a suspension is a different decision from a permanent drillable plug set for final abandonment.

We carry the setting tools, retainers and cement equipment to go with the plugs, for suspension, abandonment and decommissioning work.

Cement Retainers

Available Range

Wireline or mechanical set is a top-slip change on the same retainer. On tubing, the MST sets mechanically and allows a single run for squeeze work; the hydraulic setting tool covers deviated wells and jobs without a wireline unit.

One supplier for the whole cementing job

A cement retainer on its own is not much use. The job needs the retainer, the setting tool, the cement itself and something to mix it with, and when those come from four suppliers, the one that is late is the one that holds up the program.

Dan’s supplies the retainers, the setting tools, Class G cement, mixing equipment and sand line dump bailers with coil tubing options.
