Built for completion and abandonment work

The AS1-X sits at the centre of Dan’s completion inventory. It is the tool most of our completion and abandonment programs are built around — setting and testing, isolating zones for stimulation, and holding pressure during suspension work.

Overview

Shallower wells, lower differential

Tension packers are not a substitute for a double grip packer on a high-pressure completion, and we will say so if that is what the well needs. Where they win is on shallower wells and coil interventions, where setting by tension is simpler, faster and does not require the string weight a compression-set tool depends on.
