Overview
Collar weight is what makes a jar work
A jar delivers its blow using the weight stretched above it, which means the drill collars are as much a part of the tool as the jar body. Run a good jar with too little collar weight and it will fire without doing much.
We supply the drill collars and wash pipe alongside the jars for exactly this reason, and our fishermen will lay the string out with you rather than leaving it to chance on location.
